Treatment Options

St. Ephraim Center now offers a variety of Orthodox-based treatment programs.

Current Programs

Orthodox Recovery and Relapse Prevention Group

This weekly support group is designed for Orthodox Christians in recovery from, or experiencing difficulty with, addictive behaviors such as substance abuse, pornography and gambling. All those who wish to explore these issues and build recovery skills in a safe, supportive environment, grounded in the spirituality of the Orthodox Church, are welcome.

The group takes place on weeknights from 6:30 to 8 pm in the Denver area and costs $30 per group. New members can join at any time.  To join or to ask further questions, please contact our clinical director, Fr. Deacon Jan Veselak, at 303-718-6853.

Intensive Outpatient Program

The St. Ephraim House of Healing is pleased to announce a new intensive outpatient addiction recovery program. This program is designed for Orthodox clergy or laity who would benefit from short-term intensive addiction recovery work. Because addiction is a family illness, family members are also welcome, with or without their addict present.

Treatment services include individual counseling; thorough psychological, nutritional, spiritual, and addiction assessment; an in-depth and concrete treatment plan; supplements to reduce withdrawal symptoms; nutritional counseling; medical testing and referral as needed; spiritual counseling and confession; and a continuing care plan to ensure the greatest success after you return home.

This program takes place in the Denver metro area. For additional information, please contact our executive director, Masha Gisetti, at 303-358-1360.

Individual Counseling

Our clinical staff members have more than 100 years of cumulative experience and are experts in a wide range of therapeutic methods for dealing with addiction, mental health, mental health nutrition, recovery and relapse prevention as well as addictive family issues such as co-dependency.

Planned Programs

Four-Week Residential Programs

The St. Ephraim House of Healing plans to offer intensive, residential treatment programs in the Denver metro area. These programs will address the spiritual, psychological, and biochemical aspects of recovery, including Orthodox pastoral and spiritual care from the Center’s Pastoral Director. Aftercare and referrals to local resources will also be provided.

Each four-week program will be tailored to a specific audience, such as Orthodox laity, clergy, or clergy wives. For clergy programs, the Center will also support participants’ practical needs by providing supply priests and liaising with parishes.

We need your help! To support our new residential programs, we are seeking volunteers—especially replacement clergy—as well as contributions of office or lodging space, household supplies, and monetary donations. St. Ephraim Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and donations are tax-deductible. Learn how you can help now.
